The scheduled timeline of events for this hiring process is as follows:
Posted to POST Board and LMC sites by Tuesday February 14, 2017.
Score applications as they arrive.
Closing date Tuesday February 28, 2017 close of business.
Final scoring of applications Wednesday March 1, 2017. Call to set up interviews.
Interviews set for Wednesday March 8th and/or Thursday March 9, 2017. (Backgrounds passed out or emailed).
Offers March 14 and 15, 2017 based on council approval.
Council approval of candidates March 20, 2017.
Backgrounds completed as fast as possible. Review of individual training needs.
Uniforms/qualifications/use of force.
Begin field training April through early June.
