Civil Defense System

The city owns & maintains three Civil Defense Sirens & is enrolled in CODERED.

The Sirens are used to indicate a local emergency or weather related incident.  Citizens are advised immediately to tune into local radio stations (K100 KOLV 100.1 FM or Q102 KQIC 102.5 FM) for further information.

The sirens are tested the first Wednesday of each month.

CODERED is also used to indicate a local emergency, weather information, and other pertinent information from the City of Olivia.  Community members can sign-up for free and register their phone number or all of their family phone numbers.
