Certain requirements must be met before you may operate a golf cart on streets or alleys in the City of Olivia. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the Olivia City Code, Title VII, Chapter 70.027.
The golf cart must be equipped with a slow moving vehicle sign and rear view mirror, and may only be operated during hours of daylight, from sunrise to sunset. The number of people on the cart may not exceed the original intended capacity; if it was designed for two people, only one passenger is allowed with the driver. Additionally, the driver must hold a legally issued, valid driver's license. Finally, you must obtain a permit from the City of Olivia and display it on the cart, so it will be visible.
