Tucked neatly along 9th Street in downtown Olivia is a quaint oasis called Dowling Park. Donated by Steve Dirks, this tiny gem of a park boasts picnic tables and a beautiful gazebo with Adirondack chairs where you can sit and enjoy the flowers planted and cared for by volunteer gardeners. The gazebo was donated by a private organization, Helping Hands of Olivia, through their ongoing paper and cardboard recycling efforts. On the East wall is a plaque honoring Michael Dowling, the namesake of this park.
